Blogging Example.........

Is the correct term “blogging”? Blog? To blog. My blog. How’s your blog doing. Do you enjoy blog? blogging? Have you blogged today? Time to research…......

It’s now 6:14am. Making a note to investigate Melatonin as I find it impossible to get back to sleep lately. Too early to think…...will try….....

2a.m. – two fire detectors simultaneously began chirping, “feed me, feed me”, starving for new batteries

2:20 a.m. – applied down-filled-pillow-smashed-into-ears technique

3:00 a.m. – down-filled-pillow-technique does not block out quivering-voiced 9-year-old, maybe because she is poking me with her sharp little finger, claiming the fire detector’s chirping noises are “scary”; what is the use of being married if I am the only one children wake in the middle of the night; give a quick prayer of thanks I have children at all…........

3:05 a.m. – child tucked in, return to bed, tossing, turning. Start giggling. If husband wakes, he’ll think I’m attempting to self-suffocate with the down-filled-pillow – no comfortable way to block out noise!

3:30 a.m. – husband’s cell phone joins in the fire detector chorus chiming, “low battery, low battery, low battery”; add second pillow

4:00 a.m. – sharp-fingered 9-year-old drills deeply through the down-filled pillows, poke poke, “please find Daddy’s cell phone and turn it off”. You couldn’t hear that all the way down the hall into your room, I say suspiciously. Guilty look. She’d snuck in earlier, sleeping on our couch.

4:30 a.m. – killed cell phone, returned child to her own bed

5:30 a.m. – neck is killing me; too much tossing turning; too much fantasizing about the contractor – slapping him, to be precise; what idiot puts fire detectors out of reach on 20-foot ceilings; not feeling very charitable or “complete”, as the Lord says, this morning…....

5:40 a.m. – trip over poodle; spend time on floor with him begging forgiveness….....

5:45 a.m. – spill coffee grounds

5:55 a.m. – crumple into computer chair resigned to Being Up but Blogging….....I think.
